Mike's Site My Life
Hi My name is Mike. I am presently working as a computer support engineer . I was once in the Royal Air Force servicing for 12 years as an Aircraft Electrician. I left home when I was 17 years and 5 months to join up. I did this for the simple reason that there was very little work in 1984. I needed to get my independence quickly and home life was not to easy. I get on well now with my parents but they do go on still sometimes. Mum and Dad are getting older dad is 65 and Mum is 63. They are the best parents anyone one could ever have. They are different which is nice.
mike in office This is me trying to do some work at a customers site. I was given that tie by a friend and all my users love it but said it was "sad and cheesy". Any excuse for them to play with my tie!

My main hobbies include gliding. I love to fly though I have not flown for the past 3 years. I feel I need to get my personal life sorted before I can get back into the swing of things. I love to ski when I can afford it, it is great fun and I am not to bad either. I love to play on my computer and learn how to do new things. Times are changing very quickly in the computer world and I like to keep up with those changing times. I currently have my own server and I am working out a small network in my house. I also love doing this web site but my English is not brilliant but I try thats the main thing.
When I was younger I use to fish with my Dad. I love to go out with him and spend time with my Dad. Dad was always busy in the evenings because he worked very hard and sometimes very long hours. This helped to buy the things we all enjoyed. Mum always worked hard to supporting both of us and helping towards the bills. Things were quite tough in those days, I guess its made me understand how much my Mum and Dad did for me when I was younger. Anyway like I said I loved to go out fishing in our little family boat. We were in a fishing club. And one year to my surprise I won a cup for the heaviest fish caught by a junior. It weighted in at 2.3 LBS and it was a flat fish or flounder to must people. I caught it on a spare bit of line. Which was well cool. I miss my days out in a boat. Next year if things go well, I will get a boat and spend allot of time on it.
I feel getting back onto the water will help me to relax and give me a good hobby.
a nice pic in germany while i was skiing

The proudest thing I have to me are my Nephews and Niece. I am a good Uncle to them as I can not see me having children (even though I would like one child). I quite often take all three out for the day, leaving Mum and dad to do what ever they like in peace and quite!! I have moved closer to them and I know they can not wait to and stay over for the night. I let them get away with murder and we always have allot of fun together. Sometimes I take them over the water to the Isle Of Wight. They love it over there I will one day plan to take them over there again.
Every year on the 10 of November I remember my friend call Rod. He was a glider pilot. sadly he fell out of a hotel window in Saudi and was found the next day. I went to his Military funnel. I was still in the RAF then. I had to march to his grave and salute him. I cried at this point. That was the only time I cry while in uniform. I will add a site in memory of his name one day!
mike in babes in the wood

This is me clapping in babes in the wood panto. It was a good panto it was very funny. I did this with Portchester players and I only had 4 weeks to learn all the dances, lines and stuff. It was hard work but some of the cast helped me along.
Like I said I have moved down to the Portsmouth area. I miss my friends like Adam Dave, James, Kevin , Mark and Colin all from the Queen Shilling pub. in Bristol (Adam is on the left). Adam has become one of my good friends we have helped each other through different walks of life. Well that's my life so far. I have now moved back to Havant to be close to my family as you can see they mean allot to me. I am now looking for a new job as I moved on from my previous employment with ICM. I may even go into business support home users as a side line job. Life has opened new doors for me which I hope will bring in new luck as well. My friend Jason has been a true mate to me in my house which I have just bought. He has helped me do some major DIY.
I have taken up drama over the past few years. See Mikes Drama World. I have joined Portchester Players. They are a nice group of people who I like and respect allot. I am not able to comment to the next play which is Hired Man as I don't know what area I shall be working yet. But like always I will try and help out where I can.

I do like to relax allot, as the worst thing about little old me is my temper caused by stress and worry. Most of the worry has now gone away from my life as I am very open to people about how I feel and who I am. Which is a real good thing to be like. Mind you I have found in civilian street that is not always a good thing and does upset people. Which is sad but a true fact of life. As you can see thats me on dawlish beach sunbathing in a bit of sun (England once got ) Picture to your left is myself on the way to Holand. (that is Ffrance in the back ground). I do like to go over to Holland to see my Dutch friends Ria and Martin. I hope theyare keeping well as they always do.
